Hi,
I have a falcon, the DVD reader is a replacement without key, the dash is = D:2.0.6683.0 - K:2.0.6683.0 (BK:2.0.1888.0) x:C19C-7CB1..... After creating my custom image and flashing, the xbox boots with a blank screen, a single green power led, the sygnos blue LED blinks once at power up. DVD eject button works controller sync works, but does not pair with any controller. I am able to download back my original dump and recover to the XBOX dash. Can anyone tell me wwhat I am doing wrong? |

Got it solved, D0 was the problem, wasn't soldered on properly. After some pain trying to get the software to work on the console it finally happened and all fell into place, thanks guys for the responses, really helped.

so if i understand you right i shouldnt use the rb quicksolder pad?? by the way the blue part is on the bottom. Don't use the RB quicksolder, it was a FAIL for me and Nemesis. Instead run a wire from alternate RB to R1P7 on the 360 mobo which is above the line at R1P7. Be sure to desolder that RB quickpad with your desolder braid or whichever you use to remove solder. |

Nemesis, I hear ya. I too was frustrated at the lack of support from the forum and documentation availability. There is nothing on the web to help with getting the Cygnos V2 fully setup for homebrew execution. I have to admit building the image is not all the way clear but heres what you can do:
Recommend: Redline99's prebuilt Images 'Cygnos360 V2 XeLL Images Collection', just Google it and save yourself the troubles. You might also want 'Cygnos360 V2 SMC Collection'. Now if you use my recommendation you need to make sure you have a dump of your NAND 1st before proceeding so that you have a copy of your CPU Key. Be sure to also extract your KV from your NAND dump (*.bin), and also extract your SMC from your NAND dump (*.bin). When you use the recommendation above be sure to use the Cygnos Tool by selecting the Image, and your KV before uploading to your NAND. You will need your KV unless you built the image yourself then you could skip that step, in this case you didn't. If you want to build your Image yourself then you need to go out and get 'CygWin.exe' from http://www.cygwin.com/. When you launch the executable be sure to choose Install from the internet option, then select these two packages Python, and Python-Crypto. These tools are the prerequisite for building the image manually from Cygnos360.com hosted 'imgbuild 20091113 for Cygnos360 V2.zip'. Once you get those tools then follow there 'hack.txt' that's included in the zip. The text is ASCII and therefore not formatted in a way that makes you feel warm in fuzzy so open it in your favorite text or coding tool like Notepad++. Good luck! |

I had this problem with the Rev F. It was definitely a solder issue. I chose to use the quick solder RB, which required me to expose some copper before dropping the solder between the quick solder and the RB. I tried to power on and no go. I then desoldered the quick solder RB and instead ran a wire from alternate RB to R1P7 on the 360 mobo which is above the line at R1P7. Once I did this, I was golden.
Not sure if this will help you but I can tell you that I doubt you hosed your mobo, and that it's just most likely a connection issue. If all else fails desolder it all and wire it all down and place your chip aside using 3M double sided tape. There is a guy who did this and has a pic in the forum some where and it looked just as good as quick solder. I would only recommend if you didn't have a fine tip on your solder iron when installing because you could have most likely missed a spot. TIP: Most of the quick solder points don't need any additional solder I just heated the area over the existing solder and it was clean. Good luck! |

I solved my own problem but thanks for trying everyone. Here what I did:
1.) Installed Xell (prerequisite) which is pretty much useless unless you plan on launching Linux/Debian from disc only. 2.) Updated Xell with Xellous which enables you to access the web interface for pulling CPU Key, DVD Key, Dumping NAND, etc. but no FTP access. 3.) Patched Xellous with a rebooter of my choice. 4.) Burned XeXMenu onto disc and launched from my rebooter software. XeXMenu has a built in FTP which allowed me to access the HDD. ![]() Hopefully this will save someone else the trouble I had however, you will have to locate these tools on your own but shouldn't be hard to find on the web. I would' ve listed a rebooter but this forum doesn't allow talk about it. NOTE: I only mention it because it was the missing element to accessing my HDD. Good luck and shots out to everyone lending a hand. |
